WoW Forever Talent Calculator

Baseline: classic three-tree, 51-point structure. Forever talents read from the beta client, build 1.60.1.70450 plus server hotfixes through October 23. Fan-made, unaffiliated with Blizzard Entertainment.

What's new in WoW Forever

World of Warcraft: Forever is Blizzard's third version of WoW, next to the modern game and Classic. It goes back to the vanilla era and adds three new zones, more than 1,000 quests, nine dungeons, two raids and a new race, the Skyborne. Blizzard announced it at BlizzCon 2026; the beta ran from September 17 to October 23 and the game launches November 4, 2026.

Talents keep the Classic frame of three trees per class and 51 points from level 10 to 60. The talents inside those trees changed far more than the frame did. Compared with the Classic Era client, the Forever trees in the calculator show:

New and Removed leave out what Blizzard’s class deep dives call a rename, a rework or a baseline ability: a renamed or reworked talent is a Classic talent under another name, and a merged talent takes in several Classic ones. A trainer ability is taught at the trainer instead of taken as a talent.

How to use the WoW Forever Talent Calculator

Show the legend and calculator features

Reading the talent trees

  • New in Forever. The talent isn't in this class's Classic Era trees.
  • Changed from Classic. Same talent, but it moved to another spot or its max rank changed.
  • Green border. You can put a point in it, or already have; the number in the corner is its rank.
  • Gold border. Maxed out.
  • Blue border. One more point opens it. Shows up while you hover a talent.
  • Grey icon. Locked until its row opens or the talent it needs is maxed.
  • Dashed line. The next row to unlock; the tree header says how many points it still needs.
  • Arrow. The talent it starts from has to be maxed first.

What the calculator can do

Add and remove points

Left-click a talent to add a point, right-click to take one back, shift-click to fill it to max rank. Ctrl+Z undoes a mistake.

Preview before you spend

Hovering a talent shows its current and next rank. A rank whose numbers depend on your character, or whose text isn't read straight from the game data, says so.

Find a talent by name

Type in the Search box and every match in the three trees pulses, so you don't have to scan 50-odd icons.

Plan for any level

Set the level cap to 40 and the build is trimmed to the 31 points a level 40 character has.

Replay the leveling order

Show Route lists every point in the order you spent it, level by level from 10 to 60. Click any level to see the build as it stood then.

Share with one short link

Copy Build Link gives you a short URL like /#warrior1-AAABBC with your pick order and level cap. Nothing is stored on a server.

  2. New article: what the developers said on WoW: Forever Podcast episode 4, the PvP episode: Honor by battleground, premades, rulesets and RP-PvP, world PvP, war games, and the duel arena in Mount Hyjal, with a timestamp for every statement.
  3. World map: the travel planner has one-click routes between starting zones, such as Teldrassil to Elwynn Forest or Tirisfal Glades to Durotar, for starting next to friends of another race.
  4. Battlegrounds: premade groups only meet other premades, so a solo queue never faces one, and no protection for low-level players in world PvP is planned (WoW: Forever Podcast episode 4).
  5. Blizzard’s Paladin class deep dive, the last of the series, is now in the talent data: Improved Seals is marked as the renamed Improved Seal of Righteousness, and Consecration, Blessing of Kings and four other Classic talents count as baseline now.

How the Forever talent data is checked and kept current

Every talent, rank and tooltip in the calculator is read from the World of Warcraft: Forever beta client, build 1.60.1.70450 plus server hotfixes through October 23, and compared with the Classic Era client, build 1.15.9.69722, to mark what is new or changed. Talent calculator FAQ

How many talent points do you get in WoW Forever?

51, the same as Classic. The first point comes at level 10, then one per level up to 60.

When does the WoW Forever beta start?

Blizzard has the beta starting September 17, 2026 (level cap 20 at first, then 30) and launch on November 4, 2026. The talents here are read from the Forever beta client, build 1.60.1.70450, and rebuilt when a new beta build changes them.

Are these the final Forever talents?

Probably not all of them. They come from the Forever beta client, and Blizzard can still change talents in later beta builds and before launch, so treat builds made here as early planning.

How different are Forever talents from Classic?

The three trees and 51 points carry over. Inside them, 115 of the 465 talents are new and 14 of the 27 trees have a new 31-point talent. Tooltips mark every talent that is new in Forever or changed from Classic.

Do share links expire?

No. The link holds your class, pick order and level cap in a short code, and nothing is stored on a server. When the talent trees change, an older link still opens: points in talents the trees no longer have are dropped, and the calculator tells you.

Does replay change my build?

Never. Replay only shows the first N points in order; the build itself is untouched. Clicking any talent or "Full build" leaves replay.

Why do some tooltips have a note after the text?

The note says where that rank's text comes from when it isn't simply the game data. Numbers that depend on your character are shown for a level 60 reference character, and a rank the client can't fill in keeps its text from the BlizzCon demo. The talent data section explains how the data is checked.

Is this an official Blizzard tool?

No. It's a fan-made calculator, not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment.
